Hello, I’m Jessica Fleek with the Family Services Department at Habitat. I have been in my current role with Habitat for one year, but I have been with Habitat in other roles since 2008. I lead both the Home Repair Program as well as the Homebuyer Program. I have the honor of getting to work with families from pre-application until they pay off their loan with us.
I live with my husband, Drew, 2 year old son, Silas, our dog, Sage and our cat, Nila in Appleton. I grew up here and went to college at Lawrence University. I have mostly worked in non-profit in housing, but have a background in the restaurant and service industry as well as in photography.
I love the families and the amazing staff and volunteers that I have the privilege of working with at Habitat. There is no other place or organization like Habitat. I love the beautiful transformations in neighborhoods and the camaraderie of all of the people involved in Habitat. I would not be the same person without Habitat. Working and volunteering with Habitat has literally changed my life for the better.
When not working, I love hanging out with my fantastic family. We love going up north and getting together with family, going for walks with our dog Sage, playing at parks and doing fun things together like going to the farmers market or other special events. When we have a date night, my husband and I enjoy trying out new restaurants. We also spend a lot of time with our Lawrence University Athletics family. My husband is the Aquatics Director there, so we spend a lot of time at athletic events, especially watching our great swim team!
Something that would surprise folks about me is that I have climbed mountains. Also, I am six feet tall and terrible at basketball and I am not afraid of spiders.
Thank you!! Have a good day,
